A: It is easy to keep your Tessoro jewelry in wonderful condition with minimal care. The birchbark has an acrylic polymer coating, giving it superior strength and water resistance. A: Tessoro's bark comes from the forests near the greatest of all freshwater lakes, Lake Superior, in Duluth Minnesota. Tessoro works with McCabe Forest products, a small family owned company that provides birch and other wood for industry. Standing dead trees are marked for cutting; Tessoro harvests the bark from these trees. This assists in reducing air pollution, as this bark would ultimately be burned at the mills. Be assured that NO live trees were harmed in the creation of Tessoro jewelry.
